عن
تهدف مجلة اداب الرافدین الى تحقیق اهداف عدة الى جانب سائر مجلات جامعة الموصل وفق تخصاصتها المختلفة ، ومن هذه الاهداف ما یاتی :
- نشر البحوث والدراسات العلمیة المبتکرة التی ینتجها الملاک التدریسی والباحثین وطلبة الدراسات العلیا فی المجالات العلمیة المتعلقة بالاداب والعلوم الانسانیة .
- الإسهام فی إثراء البحث العلمی والمناهج العلمیة والتزام معاییرها بالبحوث المبتکرة، و تحقیق الجودة المطلوبة والتقدم فی التصنیفات العالمیة بتعزیز البحوث العلمیة والاهتمام برصانتها، والارتقاء بها بحثیاً على مستوى الدراسات الإنسانیة کافة .
- رفع مستوى البحوث العلمیة المقدمة للنشر فی المجلة من خلال عرضها على ما لایقل عن محکمین اثنین الى ثلاثة للمراجعة والتصلیح والتعدیل .
- تمکین الباحثین والمحکمین من کلیة الاداب وخارجها من اکتساب المهارات الفکریة والمهنیة لبحوثها العلمیة فتکون قد حققت هدفین : الأول تدریب المحکمین الجدد على التقییم العلمی والتقویم الأکادیمی الدقیق، والآخر زیادة رصانة البحوث العلمیة وإخراجها بصورة ناجزة مکتملة علمیًا وأکادیمیًا .
- التعریف بالمستوى البحثی والافکار العلمیة والنهج البحثی التی یسعى باحثوا کلیة الاداب وجامعة الموصل العمل علیها .
- بناء جسور التواصل مع المجلات العلمیّة الأکادیمیة الرصینة للبحوث داخل الجامعة وخارجها للاستفادة من التجارب العلمیة ومحاکاتها لتطویر المجلة على الصعد کافة وتحقیق التعاون العلمی مع الباحثین والعلماء العرب فی مجالات تخصّص المجلة .
- الاهتمام بنوعیة الأبحاث المنشورة فی هذه المجالات الذی قد یمنح بعض الباحثین بالحصول على الترقیة المهنیة فی أعمالهم، وفی الجامعات تحدیدا حیث تتطلب الوظائف الأکادیمیة الأعلى أبحاثا ممیزة کی تمنح صاحبها الترقیة أکادیمیة.
- تعمیم المنفعه المعلوماتیة والبحثیة من نشر البحوث باتاحة أعداد المجلّة بنصوصها الکاملة للمستفیدین والباحثین على منصة المجلة فی الإنترنت وتطویر الموقع وتحدیثه بشکل مستمر .

مجلة اداب الرافدین (RADAB) مجلة علمیَّة محکَّمة مفتوحة الوصول تُعنى بنشر بحوث العلوم الإِنسانیَّة والاجتماعیَّة، وتصدر بموجب الترخیص الإِبداعی الدولی (CC-BY) أَربع مرَّات فی العام الواحد من کلیَّة الآداب/ جامعة الموصل، الموصل - العراق مذ کانون الثانی 1971 ، ویستعمل برنامج iThenticate لمنع الانتحال ولضمان أَصالة البحث کما یستعمل نظام مراجعة المقیمیین المزدوج الأَعمى لضمان جودة المنشور.
