Abstract

The research summarizes the submission of a number of workers in the field of professional categories and organizations in Mosul in March 1931 AD with a request to the Ministry of Interior to establish the Workers' Party. Among those who signed the request were Hajj Ahmed Al-Nuh, Saad Al-Din Al-Ziyadah, Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Jalabi and others. The objectives of the proposed party were not limited to labor activity, but the party's basic system stipulated striving to achieve Iraq's complete independence and consolidate Arab unity. The Ministry of Interior rejected the request, but Saad Al-Din Al-Ziyadah, who was a lawyer, requested to be granted a privilege for a political newspaper called Al-Amal, and this was approved and the first issue was published on September 5, 1931 AD.
