Abstract

The research titled "The Significance of Derivative Structures from the Root (Ghair) in the Holy Quran - A Morphological Study" analyzes the morphological structures derived from the root (Ghair) to clarify their significance accurately, after explaining their meaning in linguistic usage. It has been shown that each structure derived from the root (Ghair) in the Holy Quran has a different significance; for instance, the significance of (Ghair) differs from that of (Taghayyur), and the significance of the active participle (Mughayir) differs from that of the active participle (Mughayir), and so on. The research also revealed that the significance of the root (Ghair) in linguistic usage does not deviate at all from the moment of actual transition from one state to another that completely opposes it, such as the transition from stillness to movement, or from concealment to appearance, or from weakness to strength.
