Abstract

Our research is concerned with investigating and studying the topic of (subject and predicate) from the book: Al-Kafiya fi Ilm Al-Nahw (in grammatology), by Sheikh Hussein bin Abdullah Jalabi Ali Al-Adrenawi, who is considered, in addition to his grammatical leadership, one of the pillars of the Hanafi school of thought in his time. He is one of the Turkish scholars whose knowledge and work shone despite the dryness in writing and classification that prevailed during the period in which he lived, in which scholars were satisfied with marginal notes and explanations of grammatical texts. However, despite all of that, it did not prevent the emergence of renewed scholars from time to time who excelled in classification, arrangement, approximation, explanation and methodology. Our author is only one of those distinguished group who tried to restore the luster of Arabic grammar by purifying it from explanations and marginal notes, and reclassifying it in a way that brings it closer to the minds, avoiding what many grammar authors fell into, which is the increase in grammatical differences that dominated most of the grammar books that preceded his writing.
