All digitization issues are important and necessary in documentary institutions of all kinds. Digitizing manuscripts is one of the sensitive topics that are studied from time to time, with the aim of collecting and preserving them and providing access to our heritage using highly advanced methods and techniques without harming the original manuscripts when used, In addition to facilitating access to information for beneficiaries. These points and others prompted the researcher to choose this research to learn about the experience of the Digital Center for Eastern Manuscripts in digitizing manuscripts, and what are the basic operations that the center performs to preserve and digitize manuscripts. The study also aimed to identify the difficulties facing the digitization of manuscripts and to identify the methods of restoring, maintaining and preserving manuscripts in the center. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to study the case of the center, and interviews and observation were used as basic tools to collect data about the center.  The study came out with a set of results, the most prominent of which is the narrowness of the space occupied by the center compared to the volume of work it carries out and the number of manuscripts . The study also revealed that there are difficulties in indexing manuscripts in the absence of a title for the manuscript due to damage to the title page. The study also showed that there are difficulties in the process of restoring manuscripts related to the Inks used in restoration. The most important recommendation of the study is the need to prepare a database for digitized manuscripts in the center for researchers and scholars to benefit from, and to Issue indexes and indexes for the manuscripts kept by the center.
