Abstract

This research aims to extract patterns of syntactic and grammatical parallelism in the poetry of the Abbasid poet Ali bin Jabla (Al-Akkuk), which varied between verbal and nominal structures and other structures, in addition to analyzing these patterns grammatically and semantically, and demonstrating the aesthetic functions of these parallel stylistic structures, and their impact on the cohesion of the text structure, through our examination of his poetry, we found examples of this type that match the grammatical structure completely or almost completely, whether these compounds agree in meaning or not, and it occurs on both the horizontal and vertical levels. The poet employed this type in the introduction to his praise and elegiac poems, along with many of them in his flirtatious poems. The study was divided into three sections, in the first section: a brief about the poet's life, the second: the study of synthetic parallelism (actual), and the third: the study of synthetic parallelism (nominal) in his poetry, and in conclusion the most important findings of the study.
