Scope of Appeals and Complaints
Appeals and complaints are considered in the following cases:

  1. Rebuttals to editorial judgments on manuscript acceptance or rejection.
  2. Complaints regarding unjustified hold-ups in manuscript processing or review.
  3. Claims of wrongdoing or transgressions of peer review or publication ethics.

 

How Appeals and Complaints Are Handled

  1. The Editor-in-Chief and/or the handling editor should be the first people to receive the appeal or complaint.
  2. The journal's publishing authority should be contacted directly if the complaint pertains to the handling editor or the editor-in-chief.
  3. The journal's website's Contact Us page contains the responsible authority's contact information.
