Geogrphy was among the sciences that appeared in the Mesopotamia. Investigating the cuneiform texts , one can collect a huge material about Geography. It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi scribes haven't write any sperate reference in any discipline, but rather the material were scattered here and there. The present study aims at introducing the origin of Geography as a science known in Mesopotamia. The study also sheds light on the types of geography which were known at the time.
