The Intellectual Movement witnessed a marked progress during the GhurnadaKingdom period . The Kings (Sultanates) themselves were scholars and researchers. They enhanced the scholars for they were also sciencests , among them was the founder of the Kingdom the Sultan Mohammad Ibn Al- Ahmar . As a result the intellectual life reached its high progress in the rule of the Sultanate Abi Al-Haggag Yousif Bin Ismaeel Al-Nasry ( A.H) and during the role of his son the Sultan Mohammad Al Ghny bi - Allah ( A.H),the Sultan Abu Al-Haggag himself was Scholar and poet and he loved these fields of science.
