The current study aims at investigating the relationship between declension and Meaning in Al Sajda - veres in the Glorious Qur'aan . The study also attempts to find the sort of relationship that holds between declension and meaning so as to realize the intention behind the use of 'sujood' (lit. adoration) in each particular verse where it is used. As declension and meaning have mutual relationship, it is found that declension guides to understand the meaning of 'sujood' in some verses whereas meaning leads to declension , especially in verses where there is more than one aspect of declension as far as the term 'sujood' is concerned. The paper comes in 3 sections. section 1 traces back the phenomenon of declension linguistically , section 2 explaines the relation ship holding between declension and meaning and section 3 includes the analytical part of the verses of 'sujood' in accordance with their occurrence in the Glorious 'Qur'aan' . The paper concludes with some results and findings .
