Abstract

The Glorious Qurn remains the focus of reflection and Ijaz (inimitability). One aspect of this Ijaz is the structuring of words and sentences. This is reflected by conjunction and disjunction style that highlights the correlative meanings between words and sentences to give a highly stylistic image of Qurnic expression. One of the suras that reflects this style evidently is surat Abas. In this sura, conjunction and disjunction style represents an eloquent texture in its coherence from the outset up to the end of the sura. The present study deals with a significant aspect of eloquent Ijaz in the Arabic sentence. The study introduce an introduction that analyses the sura rhetorically. It also explains conjunction and disjunction from linguistic viewpoint. Then, the study reviews the practical examples of this style in the sura. Finally, the main conclusions were stated.
