Mosul schools and their educational role in the Atabiquid era 521-660 AH / 1127-1262 AD
Abstract
The Atabiqians were interested in establishing schools, and they raced in this regard. Therefore, we see that the Atabi era did not end until schools spread in Mosul because they were a source of spreading knowledge and knowledge in the country and pushing the scientific renaissance forward. The idea of establishing schools emerged after the mosque was crowded with students for study and reading, which was affecting rituals Praying where the need arose to separate the school from the mosque, as the school arose in response to the needs and aspirations of the Arab-Islamic mentality, but this does not mean that the role of mosques in education and teaching has ended, but rather continued in its work side by side with the school as it was carrying out the same tasks
