Abstract

Religious beliefs palyed a great role in the different nations and states up till the present time . This role springs from the idea that religion has a sprirtual control on the mind. Similarly, peolpe dersperately need the concept of believing in God to whom they may return in the dilemas and disasters. Similarly religion has a role in shaping the policy of the states. It is to be noted that the Persian state is the most state that is affectted by religion as far as its policy is concerned.
The present paper deals with the role of ancient religions like Zoroastrianism and Mazdaism in shaping he outline of the old Persian state, namely, during the period 224-651 A.D.
