Abstract

This paper deals with unique four Metal Plates made in Mosul during the Ottoman period which have never been studied before. They have square shape, with little deep and wide frame. It is embellished with Ornaments and Arabic inscription. We describe the methods of their manufacture, ways of protection , analyzing the artistic features of the plates and finally tracing their origin. This work is a field work.
