The Effect of Using Wheatley Model in the Achievement of the First Grade Female Students in the Intermediate Level of Islamic Education and the Development of Their Tendencies towards the Material

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using the Wheatley model in the achievement of the first grade students in the intermediate level of Islamic education and the development of their tendencies toward the material . To achieve the goal of the research, two hypotheses were put, as follows: 1-There is no statistically significant difference between the average score of girl students of the experimental group who study according to the Wheatley model and the average of girl students control group, who study according to the usual method in the achievement test of Islamic education. 2- There is no statistically significant difference between the average score of girl students of the experimental group who study according to the Wheatley model and the average of girl students control group, who study according to the usual methodIn the scale of tendency development towards Islamic education. The sample of the research consisted of girl students from the first grade from Al-Ramah school for girls in the city of Mosul for 2017-2018, which were chosen by the method of intent ,70 students were distributed in two equal groups. The experimental group consisted of 35 students studying according to the Wheatley model, and the Control group consisted of 35 students studying the same subject in the usual way. In order to achieve the goal of the research and its hypotheses, the researcher were prepared two tools . the first consisted of an objective tests, including (multiple choice, correctness and error) tests , and the answers with specific answers, The test included 25 sections distributed on the three doors according to( Knowledge, understanding and application ) levels, from the cognitive field of Bloom classification . The second tool included the scale of the development of the tendency toward the Islamic education material, which is in the final form of (31) paragraph. After applying the research tools and analyzing the results statistically using (t- test ) of two independent samples, the results showed :-The students of the experimental group who studied according to the Wheatley model exceeded on the students of the control group whostudied according to the usual method in the achievement test and tendency development.
