Abstract

The research dealt with corporal punishments that prevailed in the laws of ancient Iraq that adopted the principle of retribution, including the Hammurabi law, the Assyrian laws and the laws of the modern Babylonian era, as well as other countries, which are the countries of Elam and Anatolia.
