The present study investigates some Akkadian words with economic meaning that are used in the cuneiform texts. These texts were used by ancient Iraqis to express their economic activities. In this study, we made use of the specialized Akkadian dictionaries. These dictionaries are confined only to give the meaning of these Akkadian words with their citation in the text with the period of ancient Iraq. It was necessary to consult other references that give information about the economic activities that referred to by the economic word. Although this study is confined only to few words but it expresses greater aspect of economic activity in ancient Iraq.
